How We Do It
Strip and inspect
Bedding comes off and we look at the surface, the seams and the piping, which is where debris collects most.
Deep vacuum
A high-suction vacuum lifts skin cells, hair and mite debris from the surface and out of the seams.
Stain treatment
Sweat marks and other discolouration are treated individually. Older set stains may lighten rather than disappear.
Extraction
Controlled moisture is worked across the surface and drawn back out, using far less water than a carpet clean so the core does not get wet.
Sanitise and dry
A sanitising treatment is applied, then air moved across the surface to finish drying.
Worth Knowing Before You Book
- Old sweat staining is often permanent. It has usually oxidised into the fabric rather than sitting on it, so expect it to lighten rather than vanish.
- If a spill has soaked deep into the foam or springs, surface cleaning cannot reach it. We will tell you honestly if we think that is the case.
- Memory foam and some hybrid mattresses tolerate very little moisture. We adjust the method or advise against cleaning if there is a risk.
